The venus fly trap are triggered by multiple touches of the insects with the trichomes to differentiate the item trap in the plant are living organism but not random falling object. This system help the venus fly trap to save time and energy from trapping and digesting the wrong subject.

By mimicking the living organism identify system of the venus fly trap, a automatic rain shelter can be produced. By using a sensitive pressure sensor to sense the rain drop, multiple pressure has to be act on it to triggered the rain shelter to differentiate rain from random falling object. While to differentiate moving object such as bird from rain drop, a humid sensor is also mounted on the system to detect water and hence differentiate rain with the bird.

This rain shelter system can be use in mamak store where mamak culture is quite popular in our country, Malaysia. When rain strike suddenly which is quite common during the monsoon season, the workers in the store won't able to react fast due to they still have own business to work in the mamak store during peak period. Hence this system is introduce to reduce the work load of the worker in the mamak store and provide a comfortable environment for the customers which avoid them from being affected by the rain drop.
This system is mainly consist of a sensitive pressure sensor which can sense the low pressure rain drop and a humid sensor to sense the present of water.

Figure 1 above show the rain shelter are triggered when rain fall. The system are consist of pressure sensor, humid sensor, a respond system circuit and a hydraulic moving system to move the rain shelter. 

This system react based on the rate pressure point acting on the sensor, the faster the rate of pressure point acting on the sensor, the faster the system react relatively. This can make sure the customers are always in comfort zone. Below shows the relative equation of this system:

This system can react fast and accurate while rain is falling to prevent the customers from getting wet. Manufactured this system for sales would be a success as this product is mainly targeted on the mamak store which open widely in our country where surprise rain fall are common phenomenon during the monsoon season. To raise a fund for this system, a video has to be film to show the advantages of this system and pursue people to fund on it. Engineer do explore much solutions from nature into their inventions and hence studying and learn from nature is a important thing in design process.
